We decided to go with the second film magazine cover draft because the 'Total Film' masthead is different from the 'Entertainment' masthead and 'Empire' masthead. It has the word 'Total' inside the word 'Film' and we feel this makes it stand out more. Above the masthead it says 'Our biggest preview ever!' which could persuade our target audience to buy the film magazine. The 'Entertainment' and 'Empire' film magazine cover drafts do not have this above their masthead. Also, compared to the other magazine drafts, the second film magazine cover draft has a lot more cover lines and information on actors/actresses, music but most importantly films which is a good thing because if audiences were to see this magazine they would notice that it includes a lot and hopefully feel that it is worth buying. Another good thing about adding more text is that we will be able to use a variety of fonts on our magazine cover and colours in order to attract our target audience.
